Mas Paz Restorative Garden

If you're planning a trip from L.A. to Sedona or Prescott, or looking to shop at Mas Paz, why not make it a memorable outing? Bring along a packed lunch or some snacks to enjoy in the serene Restorative Garden, which offers plenty of seating areas to relax and take in the scenery. You’ll find a small kitchen available, equipped with a microwave, toaster, and fridge for your convenience. Just remember, Mas Paz is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so if you're starting from the Phoenix Scottsdale area, aim to hit the road by 8:00 or 9:00 AM for a full day of fun at the shop and Wenden area that boasts beautiful desert mountains, The Peace Trail and Alamo Lake State Park. For me, this space just screams TACOS Y TACOS Y TACOS!!

Welcome to Mas Paz's backyard, where we proudly serve as the steward of a magnificent ancient mesquite tree, estimated to be between 700 and 800 years old. This tree holds the esteemed title of an official "Great Tree of Arizona," recognized by the State of Arizona and the Arizona Tree Council, with a certificate of honor displayed on-site. As a native to the Sonoran Desert, the mesquite tree has historically provided nourishment through its nutritious legumes, which are now being transformed into flour for baking, supplements, and even the beloved "cowboy coffee." Here at Mas Paz, we celebrate this rich heritage and the vital role these trees play in our ecosystem.

Last fall, when I opened the shop for another amazing season, a family of playful kittens found their way into our backyard, bringing joy and vibrant energy to our restorative garden. As a cat lover, I know many of you share this passion, and it warms my heart to see customers leave with after playing with our friendly feline friends. If you're in need of a little furry boost, come visit us!
